IMF Raises 2026 CN/ US Econ Growth Forecasts to 4.5%/ 2.4%

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) raised its 2026 China's economic growth forecast by 0.3 ppts to 4.5%, reflecting the temporary significant mutual tariff cuts between China and the US, as well as China's continued shift of exports to markets like Southeast Asia and Europe.

The IMF also lifted its 2026 US economic growth forecast by 0.3 ppts to 2.4%, expecting benefits from investments in AI infrastructure.
