The HSI concluded the trading day down 249 points or 1% at 25,220. The HSCEI fell 89 points or 1% to close at 9,039. The HSTECH dropped 32 points or 0.6%, closing at 5,543. The total market turnover for the day increased by over 15% DoD to HKD312.687 billion. JD-SW (09618.HK) fell off 3.4% after its 2Q25 new business losses exceeded market expectations. Brokers cited JD's management indicating that 3Q25 new business investment will be similar to 2Q25. BABA-W (09988.HK) and MEITUAN-W (03690.HK), JD-SW's competitors in the food delivery sector, slid 3% and 2.2%, respectively. In addition, JD LOGISTICS (02618.HK) reported a 14% YoY hike in 1H25 net profit but saw its stock slide 4.5%. JD HEALTH (06618.HK)'s 1H25 net profit surged 27.5%, with the management, as cited by brokers, revising up the revenue target. Its stock price spiked 11.7%. PA GOODDOCTOR (01833.HK) and ALI HEALTH (00241.HK) also mushroomed 8.1% and 4.9%, respectively. NTES-S (09999.HK) lost 3.7% as its 2Q25 gaming revenue slightly missed market expectations. NETEASE MUSIC (09899.HK) gained 3.6% after reporting a 1.21-fold YoY upswing in adjusted net profit for 1H25. WB-SW (09898.HK)'s 2Q25 net income grew 1.6% YoY, elevating its stock price by 9.9%. Among other tech stocks, TENCENT (00700.HK) and BILIBILI-W (09626.HK) inched up 0.3% and 2%, respectively. SMIC (00981.HK) added 1.4%. BIDU-SW (09888.HK) and KUAISHOU-W (01024.HK) dipped 1% and 0.5%, respectively. GDS-SW (09698.HK) and XD INC (02400.HK) eroded 3.2% and 4.9%, respectively. CHINA LIT (00772.HK) and HUA HONG SEMI (01347.HK) inclined 4.5% and 5.2%, respectively. EAST BUY (01797.HK) was hyped up 17.9%. Car makers XIAOMI-W (01810.HK) and BYD COMPANY (01211.HK) edged down 0.7% and 0.9%, respectively, while GWMOTOR (02333.HK) ballooned 5.8%. Regarding pharma stocks, FOSUN PHARMA (02196.HK) and INNOCARE (09969.HK) rocketed 8.7% and 6.5%, respectively. CSPC PHARMA (01093.HK) escalated 4.9%. BEIGENE (06160.HK), HENGRUI PHARMA (01276.HK), CMS (00867.HK), WEIGAO GROUP (01066.HK), and CANSINOBIO (06185.HK) advanced over 3%. Brokers joined the Chinese stock market's rally.
