In response to media reports of outbreak of a fire on Xiaomi YU7's brake pads during track testing, XIAOMI-W (01810.HK)'s Xiaomi Auto said that, in the test video, the Xiaomi YU7 Max conducted a warm up lap and a flying lap at the Tianjin V1 Circuit.

The vehicle was parked directly in the extreme case of not carrying out a cooldown lap, leading to high temperatures that caused the organic materials in the brake pads to ignite.

However, the overall braking system did not show any braking failure and other problems, and its functions remained intact and operational. The test vehicle did not use the 'energy recovery enhancement' feature available in the Xiaomi YU7 Max Master Mode.
