XIAOMI Lu Weibing Expects XIAOMI to Ship 170M Smartphones in Full Yr, Up 16% YoY

Lu Weibing, partner and president of XIAOMI-W (01810.HK), President of the Smartphone Department and general manager of the Xiaomi brand, said XIAOMI-W's smartphone business has continued to grow over the past year, with global shipments expected to increase by 23.5 million units this year, according to Chinese media.

The full-year shipment volume is forecasted to reach 170 million units, a 16% incline from 2023.

XIAOMI-W's smartphones have been ranked among the world's top three in terms of sales volume for 17 consecutive quarters, fully proving the Company's leading position in the mobile phone industry, Lu added.

In particular, in November 2024, XIAOMI-W ranked first in China's mobile phone market with 5.304 million new phone activations and a market share of 19.7%.
