Chengdu recently released the “Notice on the Implementation of Household Registration of People with Legal Property Rights in Housing (Draft for Comments)” to solicit opinions and suggestions, according to Chinese media. Of which, the opinion said that people who bought commercial housing or second-hand housing in Chengdu's administrative area can settle his/her household at the applicant's home address, and that their spouses, minor children and elderly parents who meet the conditions for dependency can apply for registration relocation, meaning that people can settle in Chengdu by buying a house after the implementation of the notice.
