The average daily number of inbound tourists in Macau during the National Day Golden Week was 141,874, up about 23% YoY and about 2% above the level before the Covid outbreak, Citi said in a report. Therefore, the broker was comfortable with forecast of Macau's GGR in October reaching MOP21.5 billion, and opined that Macau's strong visitation seems to be translating into GGR strength. Citi, citing industry sources, said that Macau's average daily GGR for the first six days of October may reach about MOP1.083 billion, and is expected to average about MOP590 million/ day for the rest of the month.
